Hydra Young Company

Hydra Young Company is a free, term based theatre company for young people between the ages of 13-19. It was established in 2024 to serve young people from West Dunbartonshire, with exciting, collaborative, fun and socially positive creative activities. In the 4 walls (and beyond!) of our workshop space, we dream, think big, get creative and participate in wholesome and fun activities. We believe in Hydra Young Company as a place to become more fully ourselves in the company of other young folk doing the same thing. And we love it!

Under the directorship of Peter McMaster and in collaboration with Murray Wason the young company makes new devised performance work for public audiences. We have made studio work, sited work for festivals and as of 2026 we will be starting an exciting international project with other young companies from around the world.

We are always on the look out for new members. No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to have a good time with like minded young people and engage in creative exercises.​​
