Join Hydra Arts Board of Directors

Hydra Arts are a community focused arts organisation based out of West Dunbartonshire. We are looking to appoint new trustees to join our current Board of Directors at a moment of change and growth.

Hydra Arts Board of Directors are a welcoming dedicated team, committed to the ongoing development and performance of Hydra Arts. Together with the Artistic Director, they work to ensure that the company is maintaining its values and aims as outlined in its constitution, as well as discussing and developing appropriate strategies for Hydra Arts long term plans. 

Potential Trustees should be excited by ambitious participatory performance created through sensitive and accessible community practices, bold ideas and exciting dreams! 

Hydra Arts are looking for Trustees who: 

- Enjoy creative thinking 
- Are excited by discussing strategy at Board Level 
- Are able to offer sound judgment and expertise from their own field of practice. 
- Can communicate effectively and respectfully
- Are willing to support the work of Hydra Arts through attending events and advocacy. 
- Have capacity to participate in this role 
- Can uphold the legal responsibilities of the role.

Hydra Arts are particularly keen to appoint Trustees with the following experience: 

- Financial management
- Fundraising and Development 
- Strategic development of small third sector organisations
- Advocacy 
- Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Directors’ positions are voluntary. Any expenses incurred as part of the role (travel etc.) will be covered by Hydra Arts. The board meet quarterly (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter) as well as a board day/night out in the Winter.
