FESTIVAL HUB

When: 11am - 5pm Saturday 28th June
Where: Napier Hall
Age rating: all welcome, but children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Napier Hall will serve as our festival hub for Roman Fest.

Here you will find our friendly front of house staff who will be able to point you in the right direction for all your festival needs.

The Old Kilpatrick Food Parcels will be running their Chatty Cafe, serving affordable lunch and drinks throughout the day to anyone who fancies some chow and a can wag.

The festival hub will also be where we will be running our Roman Object Handling with Maeve Dixon.  This will be happening between 1pm - 2pm.

FACILITIES:

The Napier Hall has public toilet facilities open throughout the festival for all festival goers. There is an access toilet on site and the venue has ramped access.

 

Guided Walk

Walk along the Antonine Wall from Duntocher Fort to Old Kilpatrick Distance stone

 

Start: Goldenhill Roman play park, G81 6BD at 9:30 am

Finish: Distance Stone, Portpatrick road, G60 5JS Old Kilpatrick, arrival around 11:45

Distance: 4 miles

Terrain: mixed. Good footwear essential

 

Join us for a guided tour along the Antonine Wall! We will walk on the line of the Wall from Goldenhill park in Duntocher to the distance stone in Old Kilpatrick marking the Western end of the Antonine Wall. As we will walk in urban areas as well as woodland paths please bring appropriate footwear. We will arrive in Old Kilpatrick around 11:45, in time for you to join the Roman Festival.

FESTIVAL PARTY!

When: 8:30Pm - 10:30pm Saturday 28th June

Where: Napier Hall

Age rating: All Welcome

Join us for our end of the festival party.

Come down to dance into the evening, costumes encouraged, bring a toga or two.

There will be music and refreshments will be provided for a donation. CASH ONLY.

This is a ticketed event, and folks will only be allowed entry with a ticket. It is a family friendly occasion and we reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone not adhering to the festival ethos.
