FAQ's

Is there food and drink at the festival?

The Chatty Cafe will be open from 12-4 for lunch and drinks and other tasty snacks. There are also 3 pubs (!!) in the village, The Ettrick, The Twisted Thistle and The Glen Lusset. All are great and serve food and drink throughout the day.

Are there public toilets in the village?

The Napier Hall will have public toilets open all day. There are also toilets in the Church Hall. Both are accessible, but unfortunately neither have a changing places facility.

Where can I park?

There are several places to park in the village that are free. Most of these are on or just off main roads and are not strictly car parks- there is no designated festival parkingmight want to consider taking public transport if that is possible.

Getting to Old Kilpatrick/Parking

By Car:

Old Kilpatrick is easily accessed by car as it is on Dumbarton Road and directly off Great Western Road.

PARKING- there is limited parking directly in front of the Scout Hall, but you can park on the road outside.

By Train

The train stops in Old Kilpatrick and runs semi-regularly between Glasgow to the east, and Dumbarton/Helensburgh/Balloch from the West.

Once you arrive at Old Kilpatrick station, you will leave the station onto station road. As you walk down station road you will eventually come to Dumbarton Rd. If you take a right here, you will be approximately 100 yards from the centre of Old Kilpatrick and The Napier Hall, our festival Hub.

This walk takes approximately 10 minutes.

By Bus

The bus stops on Dumbarton Road at many points near throughout Old Kilpatrick regardless of which direction you are travelling from.

The primary routes are 1A, 1E, 1, and 1C, which connect Old Kilpatrick with Dumbarton, Clydebank, Scotstoun, and Glasgow.

By Bike

For those who want to cycle, Old Kilpatrick  is directly off National Cycle Route 7.

It’s a beautiful cycle from either direction, and on a sunny day is worth the effort! It takes about 1 hour from the centre of Glasgow, but cycling speeds vary!
