Museum of Imagined Roman Finds
by Morven Mulgrew
When: 11am - 5pm Saturday 28th June
Where: Old Kilpatrick Parish Church Hall
Age Rating: All welcome
Morven Mulgrew has just been appointed Director of the Museum of Imagined Roman Finds in the Church Hall in Old Kilpatrick. The trouble is she knows nothing about the Romans. She even put her helmet on backwards for the photoshoot, and to be honest, the exhibits are not ready yet!
Can you Help Morven?
She needs historical buffs, diggers, dreamers, artists and not-artists, thinkers, re-enactors, kids, archaeologists, grannies, friends, countrymen and anyone else willing to come and help us build our exhibits in time for our GRAND OPENING which takes place at 3pm. The building is open from 10am so we have 5 hours to pull this thing off!

We need people to help us:

-Excavate a Roman Amphora through a 1m cubed lump of clay (is it there at all?!)
-Build a wall with Wattle and Daub using a Roman Siege Machine
-Design a genuine "Scent du Roman" in the Roman Smellorium
-Create an amazing display of Sherds and Shards of genuine re-created Roman pottery
-Design the t-shirts for our Museum Shop
And, probably, more!
If you prefer to just come to a finished museum, fair enough. We therefore invite you to join us for the grand opening at 3pm featuring our SYMPOSIA OF ARCHEOLOGIA ROMAN-IA, as well as some special un-invited guests.
Lend me your ears, and your hands and your brain.
Yours, Morven Mulgrew, Director of the Museum of Imagined Roman Finds
